The ancients believed that its presence heralded a famine. I met Mantis today (for the first time in two years) and the heat we have from 2 months. Is the fault of the Mantis? 15 years ago around me there were many trees and fruit. Now there are fields and new buildings (see map below). I hope my 1000 trees and shrubs make better the lives of innocents Mantis.

Looks as if the mantis is standing on his head. We do not see as many of these creatures as we did 10 years ago. Think bug sprays and other problems are killing our good bugs, along with the bad bugs that eat our crops. Nice post.
